Sell-or-hold analysis
Porsche 911 GT3 resale value forecast (2026–2027)
The 992-generation GT3 has traded above MSRP for most of its production cycle, which makes the residual question different from a normal car: the question isn't 'how much will I lose,' it's 'how long does the premium hold.' Our 60-day band below shows the current premium and its decay rate.
Manual-equipped GT3s carry a 15-25% premium over PDK examples in every market we track. Touring-package examples without rear wing command a separate buyer pool — collectors who want the GT3 dynamics without the rear-wing look. Those split the residual curve more than year-over-year aging does.

Common questions
Is the 911 GT3 RS holding value better than the GT3?
Yes — GT3 RS examples have held closer to or above MSRP for longer because production is more limited and the buyer pool is allocation-driven. The standard GT3's premium has compressed faster post-allocation.
Does mileage matter on a 911 GT3 residual?
More than on most enthusiast cars but less than on a daily driver. GT3 buyers tolerate 10,000-20,000 miles without major value erosion if service records are complete and the car is unmodified. Past 30,000 miles the premium narrows noticeably.
Will the next-gen 992.2 GT3 affect 992.1 GT3 residuals?
The 992.2 refresh has minimal mechanical change versus 992.1 GT3 — the residual impact has been small relative to a full generation change. The collector market still prefers the originally-allocated MY2022-MY2024 examples for their cleaner provenance.
