For the trade — Dealer
Dealer is $199/mo. It is a forward-looking add-on alongside a valuation tool, not a replacement and not a savings claim. Industry write-ups often cite franchise suites such as vAuto around $1,500+/mo; we have not verified that price, and the products do different jobs.

What if I just want a one-time forecast?
The free tier gives you a 30-day forecast forever. If you need the confidence band or 60-day, upgrade to Enthusiast anytime.
How is this different from vAuto or ProfitTime?
vAuto tells you what to bid on a specific VIN. CarCast tells you what to stock at the model level. Different question, different answer. See the comparison at /why-carcast.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Monthly plans cancel with one click; annual plans are refunded pro-rata within 30 days.
What data sources power the forecast?
MarketCheck listings + MUVVI wholesale index + FRED CPI. Details on /methodology.
How accurate is it?
We publish mean absolute percentage error, not a single accuracy percentage. The current mean absolute percentage error, the number of forecasts scored, and the horizons included are on /accuracy. A forecast counts only after its horizon has elapsed, against the later MarketCheck listing median for that segment. That figure is a live outcome, not a historical model backtest, and it is not a guarantee for any one vehicle. We do not publish a directional hit rate.
Do I need a dealer license?
No. Every tier is available to anyone.
